23 Promotions presents a night of live music and music videos from some of our favorite artists and bands from our music community.

Mayah Herlihy:

"Mayah Herlihy is a 14-year-old singer/songwriter from North Lanarkshire. She has been performing on the Scottish music scene since April 2019. Since then, Mayah has performed in various venues such as the iconic King Tuts Wah Wah Hut and The Classic Grand. She played many festivals during 2019 and had lots of bookings for 2020 that have been rescheduled. Mayah has also been writing her own songs since she was 12 and released her debut single ‘On My Way’ in January 2021. This reached the Number 1 position in The UK iTunes and Amazon Country Charts with articles from Aberdeen to Glasgow in The Press & Journal, The Daily Record, Glasgow Evening Times and Glasgow Live, a radio interview and airplay from Kaye Adams on BBC Radio Scotland, a feature on BBC Scotland’s The Nine show and STV and a letter from the MP David Linden (Glasgow East) who said he had played it in the Houses of Parliament after hearing of its success. Mayah’s second single, ‘Follow The Sunshine’, made her the youngest musician EVER to become Single Of The Week on BBC Radio Scotland’s The Afternoon Show. Mayah has also performed in many pantomimes and theatre productions since the age of 7. She loves to be onstage performing and is working on more new music for future singles and hopefully an album and is looking forward to having a successful music career and playing many more gigs and festivals."

John Rush:

"Like the rest of the world John's life has been put on hold for the last 14 months. not being one to laze about, these months were used to hone his craft as a songwriter. With a new album on the way and a few singles already released, John is ready and raring to go into 2021 with a bang!!! The year that is 2021 has still got some surprises up it's sleeve for John Rush fans. with a headline show now scheduled for Friday 20th of August, a small limited edition acoustic EP aaannnnddd one or TWO more singles to be released sporadically before the end of the year, the future looks rosy in the John Rush camp."

Reely Jiggered:

"Reely Jiggered, 02 ABC Winners of SoundWave Music Competition, are bursting with talent, alive with creativity and live to perform. They are inspired by Celtic Folk music, intrigued by World beats and melodies and are an interesting and unique fusion of funk, rock, pop and jazz taking folk music to new heights. Highly successful artists in their own right, Alison McNeill (fiddle & vocals), Fiona McNeill (guitar, bodhran, vocals) and Scott McLean (percussion) bring together their own musical tastes and talents to create a new brand of folk music. To go to one of their gigs is to be taken on a heady musical journey with furious fiddling, haunting traditional melodies, self-penned songs and eastern reel twists by Royal Conservatoire of Scotland trained Alison McNeill and sound designer sister Fiona McNeill. They are a uniquely rich visual and aural experience with a soaring diva soprano, the beauty of acoustic instruments, revved up by driving bass lines, wah-wah pedals and rocked up rhythms. Reely Jiggered is a powerhouse of diverse musicians who use their different musical backgrounds to create an exotic, unusual, inspiring and unique musical signature."

The Ronains:

"...bring together a mixture of new wave and rock and roll to form a unique live sound, and have enjoyed performing to packed venues across the country including sold out shows from the O2 ABC, Glasgow to The Cavern Club, Liverpool, supporting the likes of Jake Bugg and Gerry Cinnamon along the way. With an ever increasing profile, 2019 saw the band enjoy endorsements with Natal Drums, Blackstar Amplification and Vocalzone and through 2020 lockdown the band secured sponsorship with drinks giants Dragon Soop."

The Well Happy Band:

"...provide the best in Live Entertainment through music, magic, science and circus! The Well Happy Band was created in 2016. Since then we've played numerous festivals and gigs all over Scotland and beyond, including The Eden Festival, The Kelburn Garden Party, Doune the Rabbit Hole, Solfest and many more. The amazing journey so far has seen us support many great bands, including The Undercover Hippy and K.O.G and the Zongo Brigade. We celebrate both the lighter and darker sides of life while shining a spotlight on the fact that we all have the ability to feel better, right now, no matter what's going on. We serve as a reminder that the magic we all have inside of us is real, no smoke or mirrors required. In these changing times, choosing to be 'Well Happy' is the ultimate revolutionary act."
